      How to Reach:

      The easiest option to start this trip is by either reaching the Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) in Siliguri (West Bengal). Both are very well connected with the major cities all over India, as it serves as a major gateway to North-East India.

      Day 1 - NJP Railway Station/Bagdogra Airport to Gangtok | Welcome to the Capital City of Sikkim

      Description:

      • Upon arrival at the Bagdogra Airport/NJP Railway Station, our representative will meet you and arrange a hassle-free transfer to Gangtok.
      • Don’t forget to capture the picturesque views of the mighty Teesta River.
      • Upon reaching Gangtok, check-in to the hotel where the evening will be for your leisure.
      • You can also explore the famous MG Marg to treasure some unique souvenirs and authentic cuisines.
      • Overnight stay at the hotel in Gangtok.

       

      Day 2 - Gangtok Excursion Tour | Listen to the local story of Baba Mandir

      Description:

      • After a tasty breakfast, you will leave to visit the famous Tsomgo Lake aka Changu Lake.
      • It has an elevation of about 3,780 m, offers breathtaking scenic beauty, is home to Brahminy Ducks and many other migratory birds,s and is popular for its colour changing phenomenon.
      • Following this, you will visit the shrine of the famous Baba Mandir where it is believed that his spirit protects every soldier in the inhospitable high-altitude terrain of the Eastern Himalayas.
      • Later, you can also visit Nathula Pass* (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays) which is one of the most crucial passes on the crossroads of the India-China border (at an additional cost).
      • Later, return to Gangtok for an overnight stay.

       

      Day 3 - Gangtok to Lachung | Start travelling to the Snow Capped Mountains

      Description:

      • Wake up, have a delicious breakfast, and start your journey to the small town of Lachung.
      • The road to Lachung takes you through the beautiful Chungthang town, near Kanchenjunga where you will see the confluence of two rivers Lachen the Chu and Lachung Chu.
      • Travel towards the village perched at 8800 ft. and enjoy the views of the snow-capped peaks and beautiful alpine meadows.
      • You will travel along the Kanchenjunga National Park, passing various picturesque hamlets.
      • Upon arrival in Lachen, check in to the hotel and enjoy your dinner.
      • Overnight stay at Lachen.

       

      Day 4 - Lachung - Yumthang Valley - Gangtok | Witness the Sikkim's Valley of Flowers

      Description:

      • Wake up to the sounds of Yak's bell and have an early breakfast.
      • Later, head out to explore Sikkim's Valley of Flowers, also known as Yumthang Valley, which is at an altitude of 11,800 ft.
      • Witness the play of colors as the valley showcases vegetation of Primula, Rhododendron, and other colorful alpine flowers.
      • After this, you can also visit Zero Point* which happens to be the last outpost of civilization and the place where three rivers meet amid a panoramic view of snow-clad mountains and picturesque surroundings
      • On the way back, don’t forget to explore the Hot Springs of this region, which are believed to have medicinal properties.
      • After sightseeing, head back to the hotel, have your lunch, and then depart for Gangtok 
      • Check-in and overnight stay at the hotel.

      Day 5 - Gangtok to Pelling via Ravangla/ Namchi | From East Sikkim to West Sikkim

      Description:

      • After breakfast, enjoy a comfortable transfer from Gangtok to Pelling via Ravangla OR Namchi.
      • On the way, stop by Buddha Park and witness the 130 ft. High Shakyamuni Buddha Statue
      • OR visit the Namchi Chardham and witness the 108 ft. High Statue of Lord Shiva encircled and supported by a girdle of Chardham, which are situated in India at four different places, in East as Jagannath, West as Dwarika, South as Rameshwaram, and North as Badrinath.
      • As you drive towards Pelling witness the beauty of the Kanchenjunga Ranges.
      • Upon reaching, check-in to the hotel for an overnight stay.

       

      Day 6 - Pelling City Tour | Visit the most sacred lake of Sikkim

      Description:

      • After a hearty breakfast, indulge in an immersive City tour of Pelling.
      • Head to the sacred Khecheopalri Lake which is also known as the wish-fulfilling lake and has religious significance in both Hindu and Buddhist folklore.
      • Further sightseeing will include a visit to some of the most scenic waterfalls like Rimbi Waterfalls and the Kanchenjunga Waterfall.
      • Later, seek blessings of the local deities by visiting the theKhecheopalri Monastery and Pemayangtse Monastery.
      • Visit the Rabdentse Ruins to know about the glorious past of Sikkim.
      • Other sightseeing places for the day include Bird Sanctuary, Darap Valley, Helipad Ground & Rimbi Orange Garden.
      • Return to the hotel, after a day full of sightseeing for an overnight stay.

       

      Day 7 - Departure | Goodbye with lots of memories

      Description:

      • After having a hearty breakfast, you will be leaving for the NJP Station/ Bagdogra Airport (IXB).
      • Your tour concludes as soon as you are dropped at the desired location for your onwards journey.
      • It’s now time to head back home with a plethora of good memories.

      • Liwana reserves the right to rearrange or change the itinerary for reasons that are beyond control like Natural calamity, weather conditions, road block etc.
      • Pick up from airport should be mandatorily between 05:00 AM to 07:00 PM. Beyond these timings, it is recommended to stay in Siliguri & Traveller is advised to let Liwana know before booking if they are arriving after 7 PM in Siliguri so that Liwana can rearrange their Itinerary.
      • Liwana will arrange alternate sightseeing for the travellers however cost of alternative accommodation needs to be borne by the customer as the hotels prebooked execute their cancellation policies & are nonrefundable. This is generally what happens when you book the hotels yourself as well.
      • Kindly Note that in Lachen and Lachung, there are limited availability of the hotels hence by default we provide only Standard and deluxe accommodation. Further for any upgradation you can contact us.
      • All Traveller including co-travellers must carry 2 passport size photo and 2 photocopies of a valid id proof along with the originals(voter id, passport, driving license, govt job dept id proof are only accepted). Travellers are recommended to share Soft copies with the tour operator on official WhatsApp chats/groups (Liwana Chat groups) at least 3 days prior to the trip.
      • As per state guidelines, travellers wearing a turban are not allowed in Lachen.
      • By default, we arrange a standard room in the category that travellers books. In case a traveller prefers an upper category room or a suite, they are requested to inform before booking the package.
      • As per North East guidelines, vehicles are not on disposal & may not deviate from the itinerary unless any issue occurs such as bad weather, Political/social disturbances, roadblocks, VVIP movements & state transport rule prohibition. Transport services are from point to point only. Also, Sumo/Bolero is not allowed in main market area between 08:00 AM– 20:00 PM thus these vehicles are not allowed to drop/pick up the travellers directly to/from hotel in Sikkim, Darjeeling, Gangtok & Pelling.
      • Nathula Pass is Indo-China Border which is operated by the Indian Army. There are some limitations to the entry of civilians therefore this place is optional in the itinerary. Travellers can opt for visiting this place at an additional charge directly to the tour operator. However, whether the travellers will be permitted to Nathula pass still depends on the instructions of Sikkim Tourism on the particular day of visit morning at 09:30 AM. Also, Nathula Check Post closes at 10:30 am & is closed on Monday & Tuesday every week.
      • Nathula Pass can be added at an extra cost 4000 INR/car, payable on the spot and is subjected to availability. (Applicable if Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir are included in the package.
      • Foreigners are not allowed to visit the Baba Mandir
      • Cholamo Lake, Green Lake and Lonak Valley are trekking routes, where cabs are not allowed and options for travelling at these spots have been barred by Sikkim Government.
      • The services in Tata Sumo/bolero/ non-luxury car (Allotted from Govt local union) cannot be guaranteed in a good condition as the vehicles are usually very old and are already driven for more than 1 lakh kilometre in hilly terrains. We avoid arranging these cars for travellers.
      • Heavy rainfalls are observed between June – September which means that real time itinerary changes are possible. In case the roads are blocked due to landslides or any other natural calamity, a permit to go to North Sikkim may not be issued.
      • Liwana will arrange alternate sightseeing for the travellers however cost of alternative accommodation needs to be borne by the customer as the hotels prebooked execute their cancellation policies & are nonrefundable. This is generally what happens when you book the hotels yourself as well.
      • Zero Point is not included in Itinerary & is optional. It is completely dependent on the weather.
      • Senior citizens and travellers younger than 4 years are not recommended to go to Gurudongmar Lake because of low oxygen. Permits for the infant under 2 years of age are not granted by North Sikkim tourism that means if you have a baby, You will not be allowed to go to North Sikkim.
      • Any sightseeing point which is not completed due to time constraints, traffic jam, natural calamity, travelers starting late, permits issued late or any other reason beyond control Liwana  does not take the liability for a refund or a discount.
      • GST is applicable to the package and not mentioned in the above cost.
      • Air Fare / Train fare /Bus fare are not included in the package.
      • The tour takes place through eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites.
      • ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest at the time of booking, and also upon arrival. PAN card will not be considered as a valid address proof.
      • Guidelines issued by the State-Government is to be followed. Social distancing to be maintained. Frequent hand sanitization and use of mask recommended.
      • The traveler will have to take care of their international airfare, visa fees, airport tax or any kind of insurance cover.
      • Do not consume alcohol or any other intoxicants during the tour.
      • Real time cancellation is not entertained due to any reasons whatsoever. There will be no refund applicable. Rescheduling date of travel is treated as cancellation. 100% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation fee due to charges levied in pre-planning & pre-bookings.

      100.0% of total tour cost will have to be paid 7 days prior to date of travel.

    • Confirmation Policy

      • As soon as you pay, you will receive a confirmation email from Liwana.
      • The remaining amount needs to be paid before the date of travel.

      • If cancellation are made 30 days before the date of travel then 25.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

      • If cancellation are made 15 days to 30 days before the date of travel then 50.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

      • If cancellation are made 0 days to 15 days before the date of travel then 100.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
